Mr. James Thomas “Jim” Roberts, age 75, of 386 J. Hugh St., Tallapoosa, GA passed away Saturday, October 10, 2009. He was born December 23, 1933 in Haralson County to the late Roy Grady and Eldorado Allen Roberts.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Nathan Roberts; daughter-in-law, Terri Roberts; sisters, Clara Parris, Edna Gray and Kate Roberts; and brothers, Edgar Roberts, Walker Roberts and Harold Roberts.
Mr. Roberts was an amazingly accomplished pianist and a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Evelyn Lyles Roberts, of Tallapoosa; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Michael Hartley, of Tallapoosa; sons and daughters-in-law, Lamar Roberts, Hovie and Denise Roberts, all of Tallapoosa, and Dwayne and Kelly Roberts, of Rome; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Hank Dewberry, of Tallapoosa.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 12, 2009 at 2:00 PM from Miller Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, October 11, 2009 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM. <P class=conten
